The coats are freaking awesome, this is as close as a model that I could find. We got them last year for the race.

On the pit stops I had to pick up Liam and carry him to the pit wall then get the next driver in the car.

I can say that all of the working out on core and lower back paid off, it was pretty easy to carry him @150lbs and I weigh in at 160.

Liam lost his leg to an IED so he left leg is all robot. For the clutch we added a piece that works for his swap in leg. it is a spherical bearing on the end of a rod with a pin to hold it on the pedal. The clip has a pull cable he can reach to allow him to get his leg released and out of the car. When he was getting into the car I would attach his leg with the pin (in the dark no less), then he would climb in hook his leg up and finish belting into the car.

We had that shit down tight after practicing for a while.

He is also a really good driver.

That's some good stuff!

Are the lights on the side of the car extremely reflective or some kind of chemical luminescence?

On the track in the middle of the night it is freaking impossible to see what car is what without the numbers being lit up.
