Yea. I didn't like it. Feels half-assed. Typical Chysler. Parts of the interior feel nice and quality, other parts felt cheap. Didn't like the infotainment system remotely.

As far as power I guess it was ok. Torquey but I didn't have the sport model so. Handled like dick. Electric steering felt sloppy and unresponsive. Same with throttle control.

Haven't even thought about it, nopar here unless it's a ram or viper. The egoboost escapes are pretty sweet tho, nice handling and will get out of it's own way. Perfect daily slut material

My parents have a 2011 4cyl Escape. They still seem to love it after the 15k miles they put on it this summer.

And they get the same gas mileage as my Miata.

No it is just a 2.5l 4cyl but it was still faster than my car. And the older ones look better to me.

i disagree about the looks. but i will certainly appreciate the sentiment that the newer ones looks' are polarizing, whereas the previous generation is much more neutral in terms of styling.

Yeah, I would love an ecoboost and all the amenities.

I'd put an ecoboost in my brother-in-law's 95 ranger if I could.

Nothing like making 26 pounds of boost to make a thundering 179whp.

The only new car i'd like to test drive is the new TurboDiesel Grand Cherokee.

Well boost has never been a measure of power........it's a measure of restriction. That shit needs some more flow to make more power

The fact remains that 26psi to make 179whp points to either a shitty motor, or a shitty turbo, or in this case, both.

From a performance perspective, of course.

Judging by the posted dyno, it's gonna need to boost 44psi to do 300whp

I've actually considered taking the money I have saved for a ring and another motorcycle, using it for a down payment and living on Ramen so that I can buy one.

Friend has a Dart with the turbo and an automatic. It's slow, sloppy, feels cheap, the throttle by wire is atrociously delayed and the steering feels totally disconnected.

It would have taken me less than 5 minutes behind the wheel to return to the dealership.

Yeah but twenty-five grand for a Fiesta with rear disks and a turbo.

You can get a year old Mustang GT for that much, and not feel like you're driving around in a cheap hatch.

As far as the Dart... never so much as considered a test drive, but they look kind of nice, and the Multiair system is interesting. But still, not interested.

Fiat powerplant.

aka

Fix It Again Tony

Technicians at our Dodge location seem to enjoy them. The lack of power would get old real quick. Finish quality isn't the greatest either. Bumpers and fenders seem to be pretty far out of alignment depending on what kind of day the QC person was having.
