The meet is primarily in Robbinsville, North Carolina

MATG XVIII - July 25-27, 2014

Who is going and make sure to reserve rooms meow as they will be sold out very soon.

Last year I called 3 months ahead of time and the whole town was booked.

When: Thursday, July 24, 2014 Meet at 6:15 PM, leave at 6:45 PM
Where: Fontana Village General Store

Where: Phillips Motel

What: The plan will be to get each group to depart, meeting up at a staging location near the beginning of the Cherohala.Then we'll proceed to the overlook that provides the best view of the sunset from the Cherohala.

Spirited Friday Morning Run - 7-25-14 @ 9:30 AM
When: Friday, July 25, 2014 Meet at 9:30AM, leave at 10:00AM
Where: Phillips Motel

What: bntoples' annual drive! Friday 9:30 am drivers meeting, in front of The Phillips Motel, Main St. Robbinsville, leave 10:00am sharp. We'll go across Wayah Rd. then after lunch we'll do Elljay Rd., the Road to Nowhere in Bryson City, then NC28 to Fontana. Should arrive at Fontana by about 3:00pm.

Run to Fat Buddies BBQ - 7-25-14 @ 5:00 PM
When: Friday, July 25, 2014 Meet at 5:00PM, leave at 5:30PM
Where: Phillips Motel

What: An annual drive to Fat Buddies BBQ in Franklin, NC. Typically this event draws 50-60 cars for the drive and dining. Wayah Road, Hwy 28 and some other good twisties on the way and back. Make sure to sign up in the forum so they can report an accurate number to the restaurant!

Annual Dam(n) Photo - 7-26-14 @ 11:00AM SHARP!
When: caturday, July 26, 2014 Shutter snap at 11:00 AM SHARP!!!
Where: The base of Fontana Dam

What: The annual photo of Miatas at the base of Fontana Dam. Fontana Village has agreed to loan us their bucket truck for the photo again. Killboy will be taking the official photo and Killgurl will be at the top of the dam looking down taking photos there. He'll have them available on his website for anyone to purchase at great prices!

caturday Free Lunch - 7-26-14 @ 12:00 PM
When: caturday, July 26, 2014 at High Noon
Where: Fontana Village Vendor's Area

What: A free lunch paid for by Graham County Travel and Tourism in appreciation of our continued annual presence in their county. Please send them a little note to say thank you for their gratitude. You can do that HERE.

caturday Night Beer Swap And Wine Tasting - 7-26-14 @ 7:00 PM
When: caturday, July 26, 2014 from 7:00 PM until ???
Where: Fontana Village Vendor's Area

What: Gather your favorite local adult beverages and share them with the crowd at the 2013 MATG XVII Beer Swap and Wine Tasting! As usual, people will be bringing an assortment of fine beers which they have been collecting throughout the year so bring your palate and your corkscrew and let's have a party in the parking lot!

I'll be there, hopefully with a freshly repaired Miata instead of a plucked up looking one. I'll be driving as much as possible while there.

This thread is way too slow. I've been thinking about a Clubphillyb Fun Run during Friday or caturday depending on attendance.
