Are those specialized bikes for something? They look awfully uncomfortable.

LoPro/pursuit bikes. Those are track but they also make them with gears. Just an aero position. If its sized right not that uncomfortable, though probably not ideal for daily riding. 650c wheels kind of went out of fashion too.

Is this the bicycle version of fitment?

For one, less gap, means less material. Less material, means less weight. Ladies and gentleman, less weight, means lighter and faster.

Also most track set ups are not really trying to run a 25c or bigger tyre, so who needs clearance for them.

no way she's getting traction with those tires. I used to ride my bmx in the snow to high school 5 miles away, because I was expelled, and had to attend in the next town over.

Yeah, but thats not a bmx, the gear ratio is usable, cant be worse then 700x23c Michelin slicks.

either way, those tires simply don't look knobby enough to get the job done in snow. My goddamn highschool never cancelled classes unless it was over 2'

Its a bit of surface snow and you dont need massively knobbly tyres to get the job done. If bmx bikes had proper saddles and seating positions you'd be fine.

Judging by the density of the snowfall in the air, that will be way more than surface snow once you embark on a 5 mile ride.

When I rode in the snow, my ass never touched the saddle, in fact my wheels were almost never perpendicular.

Ah ok. That makes sense. I thought it might have been just an aesthetics thing but it is actually functional. Sweet.

I've been riding Single Speed Mountain Bikes for about 3 years meow (the same shitty bikes direct Gravity China Charger), but I hated riding the mountain bike around town so I said fuck it and bought a bike off amazon. Definitely not up to par with anything skinny has posted, but I enjoy this.
