Scotch Thread

postby beehiveblack » 04/24/14 @ 18:33

Let's keep this thread purely Scottish in origin... single malts, blends, official and independent bottlings are all fair game. If you'd like to discuss bourbon, Irish whiskey, or other spirits, start another thread.

I'll kick it off... I'm relatively new to scotch but, I'm balls deep. Looking to share reviews, trade samples, share opinions. I'm curious if/what any of you may have or have had.

Here's a list of what I've had/have.

The Macallan 12 year
Lagavulin 16 year
The Balvenie 14 year Caribbean cask
The Glenlivet 21 year Archive
Laphroaig 10 year
Dalwhinnie 15 year
Ardbeg 10
The Glenlivet 16 year Nadurra

So what say you, gents?

I actually stopped drinking for about 10 years... scotch was my reintroduction to a slower, not alcoholic rage status, as before.

It's refreshing to experience the spirit instead of cramming it in your face.

To each their own.

Similar situation, except I didnt last 10 years. Being an alcoholic isnt fun.

I like my bourbon and sour mash though
In 30 seconds you'll be dead and I'll be home in time for Corn Flakes.
