Damn dude, you have great taste but terrible luck with cars.
I'll poop in your butt hole and then you will poop it back into my butt and we will keep doing it back and forth with the same poop. Forever.

Not sure if you have to be registered to view them, but the full build threads can be found over on MX5 Nutz (CR.net don't seem very interested, probably because its not got genuine Work wheels and slammed to the floor :/ )

Progress is slow at the moment i'm afraid...

Went to the MX5OC Alignment day, treated the 'ol gal to:

- Engine Oil Change
- Gearbox Oil Change
- Diff Oil Change
- Brake Fluid Change
- Front Discs & Pads
- Rear Discs & Pads
- Full Alignment

image

caturday a friend of mine picked up a bargain from a local scrap yard. Managed to get a full Mk2 dash conversion for £100! (that's approx. $162)

image

The car has been in the body shop for the past week, very very excited to see the outcome. Told them i'm in no rush for it back as I want it done properly :)

Wings and Rear Quarters have been took down to bare metal due to some surprise surface rust

image

Front Bumper trial fit

All arches have been rolled (again) and flared. Passenger door has been replaced

Plenty more to come :)

Why do people from the UK and the rest of Europe refer to model generations as mk1 mk2 mk3 etc? I always cringe when I heard someone refer to their 90-97 miata as an MK1 miata or mx-5 or whatever. I thought that was solely a VW thing?

Because of all the retards here in the UK who know nothing about this car, they'd always think I was saying 'normally aspirated',and wouldn't know NA was a Mk1

Did someone say NB dash conversion?

image

image

image

The NB door cards need some custom brackets made, and the hole for the window winder was in the wrong place so they left them. Heres the fitment of the NA doorcards with the NB dash

image

Unless you know its there, you cant really tell!

the only thing i don't like about that conversion is the airbag. it's so ugly.
but the center area (radio, hvac, etc...) looks great on the nb and spot the fuck on in an na.

If you've ever driven a Fiesta MK4, they also have a hole in their dash for the passenger airbag, but most of them don't have one. So people used to pry out the fake airbag lid, and hide their stuff inside.

Same for people with early Saxos, with no steering wheel airbag. You could hide something the size of two packs of cigarettes inside the steering wheel just by pulling out the cover.
