I also picked up some nice door panels from the people I got the dash from. I don't know if I will use them or make ones - but it is nice to have the option.

New Exedy Stage 2 clutch arrived. The correct one. Except it is missing it's pilot bearing. I can't win with the clutch / flywheels.

At first they sent me the wrong flywheel. Then I realized they sent me the wrong ACT clutch. Then they figured out they didn't have the right ACT in stock. So then I said just send me an Exedy Stage 2. meow that I have both the right items more or less, it is missing parts. I am just going to go buy a pilot bearing locally.

Progress will resume.

More pics tonight. Maybe I will post some bay shaving pics ;)

Progress pics as of last night.

Since it was cooler since all hell was breaking loose storm wise -

I cued the music - fired up the grinder - amped up the welder - and got some crap done.

I probably cut/ground/removed about 5.5 pounds of brackets and lips from the bay. I still have the firewall to do, and a few spots to grind. I have cut plugs / had plugs for all the larger holes.

My goal by the weekend since my paint / plastidip was delayed was to get 80% of the grinding and 70% of the welding done. I have done that, and will get more done before tomorrow.

PICS :

Weldin' on the washin' machine.

Another 5 hours or so and it will be done. So hopefully, bay will be done this weekend. Then it will be painted, then the car will be plastidipped.

Basically I have to finish grinding the seam flat that runs across the firewall. Then I have to fill a few more holes, and then do some work on the drivers side firewall. Then a lot of paint stripping.

I pick up the fender flares tomorrow - so those will take me 4-6 hours to fit (requires some cutting and welding...)
