So if anyone is ever in Nashville and has a break between buying cowboy boots/hats and listening to some modern country caterwauling, i have the place for you to visit if you like weird ass European cars.

its called the Lane Motor Museum. i took ladyfriend the other day, but it was not my first visit.

They have a kickass parking garage to start off,
image

They have this beast outside that they drove through downtown Nashville to get there. If i remember correctly its called a Larc.
image

This place is in an old bread factory in Nashville, they have all sorts of weird micro cars like Isetta bubble cars and the Peel P-50. they also have some sweet bikes and other sports cars like Renault Alpines and Peugeot 5 turbo2s.

If you can do the basement tour, do it. it houses all of the cars off circulation and Nissan's heritage collection for America.

Id give it a 10/10 if your into Euro cars like i am.

Also, in case anyone was wondering they still sell the blue gummy sharks at gas stations, and they are still delicious.

"Breakdown"
It's all right if you love me
It's all right if you don't
I'm not afraid of you running away
Honey, I've got the feeling you won't

There is no sense in pretending
Your eyes give you away
Something inside you is feeling like I do
We said all there is to say

Baby Breakdown
Go ahead and give it to me
Breakdown honey take me through the night
Breakdown meow I standin' here can't you see
Breakdown, it's all right
It's all right
It's all right

Breakdown
Go ahead and give it to me
Breakdown honey take me through the night
Breakdown meow I standin' here can't you see
Breakdown, it's all right
It's all right
It's all right

That's right, redfox went all emo on me and decided to have a breakdown.
I was pulling out of the new money ritzy neighborhood in town after delivering some cheesy bites pizza to some babe, then BAM car is dead in the turning lane of a busy highway and i'm stuck.
Two hours go by and this is where i'm at (still on the clock by the way)

image

image

So naturally i tow it to an aircooled VW shop previously owned by my uncle so i can go dick with it the next day.
The next morning comes and i get a call from my uncle "Hey Jackson, your cars done." and i was like "Huh?" Then he says "your cam angle sensor wires were rubbing on a belt and shorted out and blew the 30 amp, its all fixed meow" So i'm all like "hell yeah! ill be over in a minute!!"
Thus ends the harrowing 12 hour tale of stranding, depression, separation anxiety, and joyous reuniting.

Also I found an ancient Mew sweatshirt

And Bae is still a babe

Well, sort of car update.
I bought my ground controls for red. (8k front and 6k rear)
Discount tire stocks nothing but Kumho Ecsta AST's in a 205/50/15, and I already hate them, I mean have them. Ordering some Dunlop Direzza DZ102's for it.

Life update.
I found a cool cul de sac on a hill for pictures.

Took Bae to Warped Tour.

Then I took her to the Adventure Science Center. Did some science and then Bae posed in a tunnel with some dinosaurs

Well, its been a shitty time for this car since I last updated.

Those Ground controls don't fit on r package bilsteins

I destroyed my front end

image

image

But I found a red NA in a yard that had a good hood, headlight door, turnsignals ( but a destroyed bumper? ), and finally some real fucking armrests. I hate those fucking door pockets. fuck fuck fuck.

image

( headlight cover was underneath, hood is in the sequoia )

SO, naturally were using a giant sledge hammer to bend everything back into place right? right.
Everything is almost lined back up, one more whack will get it, almost there.

THEN THE FUCKING HAMMER BREAKS. THE WOOD HANDLE SHATTERS AND THE 16 POUND HAMMER LANDS RIGHT SQUARE ON THE RADIATOR, SHATTERING IT.
/End rant

Naturally I've been having a great day, but not as bad as my little brother!!

Some drunk comes the wrong way around a roundabout and he has to ditch his E30 into a tree, killing his hood, small bumper, Grills, is valence, radiator, and all the fans.

Also naturally, this is all two weeks after my dads E39 gets rear ended, then the entire cooling system fails spectacularly 3 or 4 times.

SO, in closing, Watch out for trees and rav4s in small 90's convertibles, maintain your BMW cooling systems, and don't buy KG works badges and then get in a fender bender because they will disintegrate. Literally couldn't find a single piece of it.

Also also, Keep a track rat possessed 66' vette around because it will be more reliable than all of your dailys

Also, probably going to need to order a nose badge from @revlimiter, I've been eyeing that red Protipo 2 :phillyb™:

Well some good news!
Turns out I'm not gonna need anew bumper! This is what it pulled out to.

Of course, Me and Dad just decided to go ahead and do the water pump on my car while we have the space cleared. so right meow the car is sitting with half of the bay stripped out, no front bumper, and hella drag car rake. (put the rear stock springs back in but didn't get around to the fronts today
(also that's mud on the door not missing paint, and the picture was indeed taken with a potato)

I stole a spot in the garage
image

My 15 year old cat walked past it while it was in there
image

Parked in front of the sign of my old highschool. (still haven't put the passenger light back in, nor hooked up the left one)
image

Also I got a shift boot out of a TJ wrangler (and some sweet kicks), it was a direct fit i just used two screws of the plastic rack to hold it in but I don't recommend unless you have an extender (and i've misplaced both of mine) because it is a little restricting because it isn't extending all the way because it isn't spread out.
image

I think once I get some extra money coming in (IE: pay off ticket from the wreck and my rent this month)
I'm gonna buy some plastidip in cream and a little bit of gold and do it up like the zoom engineering miata with the elan paint scheme.
So cream below the trim line with a gold tripe in the bodyline. :tits:

2. Good work on the cheap fix.

3. How did you NOT know Bilsteins have a different diameter body that won't fit GC sleeves? I feel your pain, but there's a ton of literature on this...

I still feel the dumbassness every time i stub my toe on the fucking sleeves sitting in my room. I ordered the bilstein ones assuming that they were the same. they would have fit if it wasnt for the silver collar which ground control assured me was removable but a broken chisel and a mallet seem to disagree with them

Also, no babies of any level of attractiveness anytime soon if I can help it.
I'm just lucky I found that junkyard for the cheap fix, I called a few and they all told me they hadn't had a miata in years. I call this one out in bumfuck and they have 4. they also have what was left of a MK4 supra (nothing from the rear seats forwards. not even a floor

SO, In the however long since I've updated, dads E39 got wrecked by a $90,000 lexus hybrid, red started running like shit, and meow he's sitting in the garage on stands with a sheared crank key.

My Dad's text to me while I'm at work "I caught your timing belt on fire, you will need a new one"

SO here's the slightly wallowed crank:

Well, it has been awhile. Girlfriend and I broke up after 4 years, I bought a station wagon, and yesterday I drove the Miata for the first time in months.

Here is the Subaru:

image

image

image

image

It is a 2005 Subaru Legacy wagon. 2.5 5mt, sadly no turbo. I'm going to lift it.

Here is the miata, finally put a master and slave cylinder on it so it will move under its own power and I can sell it. It will be good to close that chapter of my life with all the bullshit with this car. Fancy wheels gone, hardtop gone, free steelies, Ground controls and harddog still in it. its ready to go.

More along the lines of the Subaru bug bit me. I can get about 3" of suspension lift on the Subaru and then clear 27" tires and use it as an offroad/rallycross vehicle.

Ideally ill find a red turbo wagon so I can have both of them :phillyb™: , but that is long term. For meow, sell the miata and pay off the subaru, lift it, hit the dirt, ?????, Profit!

I'm not saying i'll never own another miata, but it wont be for a long time or at least until I don't have an 80 mile commute every day for work/school. There is just too many other cars I want to own. (thinking BMW Bavaria, Triumph Dolomite Sprint, Or a 64 Ford Galaxie 500)

Last picture of the little guy. :thilly:

Put brakes and axles on the front of the Subaru.

image

Dad put BMW wheels on the Vette

image

I parked next to an E30 M3

image

and I went off road just a leeetle bit

image

As soon as i get the hardtop painted and sold, I'll be ordering the outback struts and King springs and tires for this thing.
and building a light bar for four hellas on the front,
and finding a roof basket, maybe with more hellas up there,
and putting in an auxiliary battery and an inverter.

At least I'm a manager at a parts store meow and get discounts on some of the stuff.

I don't yet, but that's the beauty of having friends with miatas, I get to drive them when I feel the need :phillyb™: The c2 is downright scary. From the 4.96 rear gear to the very sloppy steering to the smoke coming from the very tired sbc from a boat, its just a hoot to piss of the old men at car shows with.
