New Zealand build

postby Chrismx5 » 10/08/13 @ 21:22

I was going to call this my Miata build.

But meh, I am doing two at once.

A Miata and a silvia (200sx)

Pictures of both are below.

I want to be like the Revlimiter of the Silvia world.

And in doing so, I am tidying the car up, piece by piece.

The first thing I had done, was my S15 front and Rear seats.

The next thing, is getting the s15 black carpet.

Whilst swapping the carpet I will be putting in a newer dash, so I will have a few car parts lying around..

Again.

I plan on doing something similar to Adams Gauge pods in the S14.

What about mk2tmr2's shotgun panel? I kinda want to buy one but I don't have a use for it besides takingup room in my glovebox.

Would be to low in the S14.

Besides I have a spare dash I can cut up, and fuck up without feeling to bad.

Oh! I get what you mean meow :)

Over here anything Nissan is whorey.

They have been thrashed, crashed and bashed.

I really want something different. Something that stands out - but stands out as wow.

Versus the Miata which stands out like "HA GAYYYY"

I'm between staying red, and having a respray, or going balls out and going for a turquoise green.

Heavier tints, Nardi polished spoke steering wheel, custom gauge faces, leather seats.

Well - the weather here is shitty as anything. Drivnig the Miata with a 2 way is just stupid in the rain.

So the silvia has been my daily.

I took the car out for a blat on Sunday night, we did around 350 kms. The guys ahead of me were hooning it, I had very little confidence in the car after I felt the front wheels hopping (Yes hopping) on some fairly tight cornering.

So, after clenching my asshole, I have decided to look into the handling of this car first.

After market arms here I come!

So the S14 had been handling like utter ass recently. I couldn't figure out why until I hit a bump in the road and the steering wheel shook, so I checked it out..

Front passenger shock is FUCKED.

So - I am meow torn, do I go for coilovers.... Or a decent shock/spring set up.

After running into the police meow on several occasions (no tickets) I've decided to review my car.

Over the weekend the stickers from my rear window will be removed. I will be repairing my front lip, repainting it, and then repainting the front bumper.

I will be looking for some decently offset RPF1s.

The roll bar is being powdercoated this weekend. Excites.

It's a good change in all honesty. I liked my car, a lot, but it would either kill me, make me lose my license or both.

So - I'm glad it's gone :D
