Busy day and it's only 1158.

Parked the car on a slope, and got rather excited.

Brand new from audi $250

I think it's relatively reasonable, I mean, to come across one for sale here in NZ.. So fucking hard.

I'm just glad I have a new one :D

Time to bitch out the Audi dealership that ripped me off...

@Sploinkin, which photo are you talking about? O.o

@Highschool, PURPLEEEE

annnd

Planning on building a car that is full of small details, nothing like my MX5/Miata.
Below is the newest picture of the tank mounted with the new purple bolts, just waiting on some washers and carpet before I can get a true idea of what it's going to look like.

image

Furthermore, building a car that has small details will be difficult, I want people to take a look at the car, and say "oh, wow" then have a closer look and say "holy shit" so to achieve this, I will be building a carbon fibre rear valance (the piece of plastic between the exhaust pipes)

you call that expensive? Where I work (hotel garage), monthly paying customers(companies from the surrounding area that don't have their own parking space) pay $650 a month and hotel guests pay $50/day so $300 buys you 6 days lol...

With the car being all about the details, that means NOTHING will be overlooked, including these air fittings. The threaded end will be painted a high gloss black, with the nut shaped part painted the same purple as the bolts pictured.

Carbon fibre wont get people talking about little details. Its cheap and tacky and should be painted.

Well. Shit hit the fan in my life.

So I brought another Miata.

No more "LOW" meow I am going light... As light as possible in fact..

It's a smurf blue 1991 Jap import, has ABS, HAD A/C and PS, just removed A/C and depowered my rack. Never fucking do that without jacks. What a cock of a job.

I have stripped probably 10% of the weight out so far, still have more to go.

Running Racingbeat lowering springs on the bilstein shocks, will be running these for the upcoming track day on the 6th of July.

Also have a half cage being welded in with custom fabbed door bars/side impact protection.

Pictures will be up tomorrow :)

So.. That will come out tonight, purchasing a honda Race Radiator for $125 to replace my shitty factory 270k one.

So. I'm nothing like Mr Matt man.

But, I'm a little different, extreme build? no.

Ghetto build? Kind of.

Efficient build? PHUCK YES.

Honda Race radiator is purchased and should arrive tomorrow, giving me 6 days to play with pipes and what not before I need the car to be limped down to my fabricator.

Once there I will have my seat mounts fabbed up for max low.

In the mean time, I have an auto electrician to remove the cars alarm, and extend the dash loom 4 - 6 inches. Shouldn't be too much of a task.

:tits:

Also - my end goal..

800kg WET at 80 wkw

Just had an update from my tuner, he's thinking we should be able to get close to my 80wkw goal.

Why 80wkw? Because I want the car to weigh (wet) 800kg.

Therefore 1kw/10kg

Not a bad power to weight ratio!

So.. As the radiator is out of the car.. I figured I might do a bit of research, a light coat of black paint, actually helps with the cooling efficiency.

I have the auto sparky coming to remove my alarm on Friday, today is Wednesday, that gives me two nights to paint and fit the new radiator, change the oil... and I think that's it...

Working well! Bang on schedule!

I'm thinking I will hold onto this one for a while :)

Removed the alarm/imobilizer last night, removed the radiator, drained all fluids from the car, tonight I will start mocking up that Honda Civic radiator to see how fitment goes, then aiming to get it all mounted up in time for the weekend... Two nights to go.

Ended up with a Koyo radiator for Miatas, the car is running, just missing tacho, oil pressure, fuel and water temp, but almost ready.

Cage in on Monday.

I am seriously over this car. Cannot wait to hit the track to see/feel what I have actually done.

It's fun as hell to drive on the street, I am aiming for 1.25 around the local race track, hoping that I can do it, I mean, there is really no reason I shouldn't be able to.

Too lazy to look back, what tires and wheels are you running? I was kinda surprised when you said you were putting a civic radiator in, are Miata radiators that hard to come by?

Running some 14 x 6.5 Advan racing wheels in the rear with Pirrelli P2500s (?)
And some work knock offs on the front with good ride tyres -_-
Sizing is 185/60 R14

Well, the car is just about done! Cage in tomorrow, track day in T minus 7 days and counting.

Final weight wet. 840 KG.

So the past weekend, weighed in at 840kg wet (without driver)
Painted the dash support bar, painted a bit of the interior, fixed up a bit of my wiring.
And added 10000000 hp with 9 stickers.

PICTURES

Also - I have just repaired my cracked finish panel, just waiting for the clear coat to dry before I mold it for some more fibreglass/carbon fibre ones
