Badass Phorester S Turbo of Badassitude

postby Tinners » 10/22/13 @ 10:26

*note, you may not think it is badass.

2000 Subaru Forester, ej20 turbo, remapped to about 250bhp, terrible on petrol and sadly an automatic.

Still looks and sounds awesome.

How it currently sits :

Very high, thats how.

SF5 STI splitter and Impreza Type R wheels.

I decided to post more photos. Because I can.

First day I had it on the road -

Awful wheels.

Meant to reply to you phillybert but apparently forgot. Whoops.

Yeh the wheels are quite hit and miss, I've always liked them on aristos and celsiors, but I think they look rather well on this, and I got a really good deal on them, I'm their first owner in the UK, I feel so JDM.

My only concern with them is the poke. I may need to end up getting fender flares.

I might be able to handle that little amount of poke. Especially with a little bit of stretch.

God I can't believe I said that.

I dunno, I hate poke and stretch.

The oem fender flares, if I can source a set, should just cover it.

I mostly got it for two reason:

I needed an auto, but most things were like auto civics etc, which was a no

And to fit my wolf/direwolf/malamute into it once she was fully grown lol

I'm really glad my fiancée convinced me to go for this. The sound alone is worth it

Other reasons this thing is awesome fun!:

Handling, it sticks to the road amazingly, despite being a jeepylooking thing.
Power! Embarrass people in Jap Import Civic Type R's who are trying to show off by keeping neck and neck with them until 100ish!
Turbo! Boost boost lol!
Never miss those amazing deals in your local petrol station, you'll always be at one!

So, I was getting it ready for a show a few months back, when I broke my splitter.

The car looks weird without one, so I decided, fuck it. Lets make it muddy for the show.

This is true.

I need to stop going on yahoo auctions, I found several sets of Volk Rays te37s that came as standard on some of the Gc Imprezas, works out about £350-400 for a set imported to my house, so much want. Would look so much better than the Impreza Speedlines that are currently on it as winter wheels.

Every time I see this car I want to paint mine nato green/olive drab. Bastard. Pretty much the ride height I want. And front splitter I want. Again, bastard.

Spats arrived with my friend in Japan, meow being posted to me, should be here Mid Week, which means I should have them fitted by Friday

image

Next on the list are skirts. Which should be fitted, weather depending, by the end of december.
Spats will look like this when fitted. This is the wing I'm after as well.

Hopefully get them painted and on this weekend and the seats fitted also.

STi spats sorta fitted, not an exact fit to the UK bumper so they need a bit of work, proper pictures of them when they are fitted better. And I should be collecting the rest of an STI kit for it next week (wing/skirts)
