Nice progress, although I think the BBKs are overkill. I love chassis stiffening mods, but after fm rails, hd bar, and fender braces, I don't believe any more would make a difference. My car feels as stiff as the s2ks I've driven and ridden in.

----UPDATE----

Unfortunately, a month or so ago some dick eater was hesitant on which exit he wanted to take on a round about near my house. Of course, I was enjoying the round about and was traveling at excessive speeds. He slammed on his brakes, I did too, and careened right into his tow hitch. Not a scratch on his car. fucker.

Since I am a college student, unemployed, no money to fix her up, I came up with a brilliant idea to cover up her smashed face.

Hey guys! I'm sorry for being so "fallen off the earth" like. Just been busy as hell working 50+ hours a week at Mercedes. Work is going great, and its funding the miata well. I was able to pick up another car as a daily so that I can start to really cut into the Miata.

Its a 2000 Audi B5 S4, 6spd Manual. Picked it up off a local friend who barely drove it anymore. Its very quick in a straight line, as well as a comfortable daily for my commute to work. @Teejay187 approves I'm sure =)

As for the Miata, yes, me and Evan installed a rollbar. Stiffen the chassis right up, I'm really happy with it and Evan was a huge help with the cutting and drilling.

image

I also decided to delete my non working A/C and powersteering. I purchased a power rack from Planet Miata, cut out the seal and crimped the lines. This way I have the response of a manual rack but the quicker ratio of the power rack. Cornering feel is even better, I can never go back to power steering again! Deleting the A/C and PS dropped about 75lbs from the Miata, slowly getting down to my 1845 lbs curb weight goal.

image

I also installed an ebay aluminum radiator since my stock radiator's filler neck had been cracked from the accident up in Boston. Fitment was perfect. I am very happy for 137$ shipped.

I also picked up a War Horse Performance Diffuser. These things are hard to find, and about a 3 month waiting list if you feel like purchasing one new. I assembled it and then sprayed it black. Install is fairly DIY, and I'm having a hard time with it. So its going to take a few months to finally get it on the car.

image

But this is what it looks like when finished.

image

I am almost happy with my chassis. Just a few more upgrades and it will be where I want it. But a chassis is limited by its tires. I've been rocking crappy Khumos on decent C1Ms this whole time and the grip is insane. I really want to see what a great tire/wheel setup is like. So I purchased some Advanti Racing Storm S1's. They're 15x9 and only 12 lbs. I will be wrapping them with some Hankook RS3's, 225/45/r15s. So excited to see how hard I can corner meow.

Wheels and tires are on! Holy cow, the grip is phenomenal. Any turn, any speed, the car just hooks, the tires just don't give a shit. Not a single squeal. I find myself backing out at the last second. The car can take the turn, I'm the pussy. But I'm slowly getting use to it. Back roads that I've been driving for years suddenly seem different, the distance between turns is shorter since my speed is so much greater. Its terrifying. My passengers are just being thrown around like a sack of potatoes hahaha, I think I need a second seat and harness.

image

image

image

I then spotted a steal of a deal on an authentic KG Works trunk spoiler already mounted to a trunk. So I drove 2.5 hours north into NY to buy it! 160$!!! This S4 is so useful. Trunk was white, immediately dipped it. I'm thinking i'll get it properly painted classic red by one of my buddies.
