Monster miata?

postby Jeff_Lebre » 04/02/14 @ 00:12

Well I will first say that i won't be posting all the picture at once, because well i think ill enjoy trolling you phaggots:) PLUS my car isn't done yet, so there is not rush to see a finally product....

anyways.. it was a full car at one point and the interior came out along with the fenders bumper etc.
photo 1.JPG

for some reason i can't post pics of interior and body panels off.... oh well

after the interior was out, my car was hauled over to a personal friends fabricated which did my cage, you might see pics of that in a couple of days. BUT before anything happened, we found out that my chassis was twisted. that put a halt to the project until a had the frame pulled.

after the frame was pulled it was about two weeks until the cage was done (it finished a couple days ago). its a very difficult cage..? you'll understand once i show you and explain.

but in the mean time i pick up some goodies.
Highschool aka evan traded me those 05 sparco junior for my megasquirt and deatschwerks 1000cc
photo 2.JPG

then i traveled about 500 miles to pick up these hoosier r6's and 15x10's 6UL's
they were a good deal and Emilio from 949racing is backed up with production on the wheels for another 6 months or so.

hhahah its almost a tease not showing theses guys Evan.

K member is Done, i didn't take a picture but ill let you know a little about it.
We used a Tubular K member ( about 20lbs new) for a foxy body from American Muscle, chopped the center section and the end pieces so we could shorten it to fit in the miata and make mounting points to weld in. The K member was fabricated to have the motor sit closer to the firewall after it was trimmed so the car is well centered and to reduce weight transfer. All said and done, by feel, it seems to be 13-14pounds.
When i take a pic, it'll be up if anyone wants to see.

eh, here you go skinny!

my recently finished 12pt nhra and scca certified roll cage that is fully functional under a soft top:)
it may become at 14pt with an rear X-brace but that all depends on a few factors.
As you can see there are two swing-outs so i can actually get out of the car lol.
I'm hoping to get pull straps for the door to the swing out so it opens all at once, but we will see how that works out.

Enjoy!

Well i thought id never see a box from autokonexion at my front door. I thought there would be at least two boxes but it surprisingly all fit in one box...

this is the Gt wide body kit that they offer, i did originally want their aero fenders but i heard that they don't align very well.

With the right offset, I am pretty sure that I could fit a 10 inch with my AK V1 rear flares, which would also fit a 245-255 wide tire. Unfortunately, for me, they don't make a 16x9 for the front of my car and a 16x10 for the rear. If they did, I'd be all about them.

Teejay sent me some goodies which actually got here fairly quick and the quality of the gauge pods are great!
