14" abandonment issues
most 14 inch "cool guy" wheels are in 4x114.3. adapter spacers required. the cool wheels that do come in 4x100 (work glow stars for example) start at 15" call around for 14" tire availability in usable sizes, you're either looking at racing stuff or the ever-popular Falken Azenis which are very limited in sizing anyway.
so enkei and work and ssr all make "retro" options to try and steal some business back from rota and other chinese makers but they start in 15" diameter. if i wanted to do something like have some custom 14x8,9,10 wheels made, either 3-piece or spend the money on watanabes, i should theoretically be able to afford to be stupid and put r comps on them for the street, i guess is what they're saying. or stretch a 185 tire on them and be even more stupid.
you guys think there's any possibility of getting more tire and wheel selection in 14" stateside or is that a pipedream when manufacturers' bread and butter comes from people who refer to their wheels and tires as "rims" and "shoes?"
"why don't you just go to 15" and stop complaining?" you might say? well don't because i just said it for you. i don't like 15" on NAs, i don't like the designs and/or sizing they come in for our bolt pattern and the market for that diameter is literally full of potential scalpers and s chassis fanboys whereas the 14" market is primarily shared with corolla guys and tends to be smaller and less competitive.

Wats and R-Comps. Like me.

Brakes totally fill the wheel. I love it. No regrets. 14" R888s are only $159 each...

Re: 14" abandonment issues
some do but the fact that tires are impossible to find unless youre importing them is a problem.

I daily that shit bro. At least for meow. We don't really have seasons here in Southern California so I've only driven it in the rain once. Seems ok, car didn't lose traction at all. Grip is incredible in the dry, long sweepers take no effort whatsoever. Artcenter over on CR used to daily his car on R888s and his lasted about a year. (Heard he drives like a pansy though.

Re: 14" abandonment issues
I looked into becoming a tire importer. After an evening of research I decided against it.
It's maddening that there ARE a ton of awesome 14" tires in the rest of the world. Not here in the US. I mean, we have a little bit of selection, but it's sure not like Japan.

Surely Mexico gets a lot of 14" tires. Or do all the cars there come with donks as well?

Need to bag an equestrian. They can crush a mans pelvis into dust.

Azenis are a great "all weather" tire.
When I say all weather I mean all weather in Fl.
