Car doubled fuel consumption. Half as fast. Intake sound like an VTEC over 4K.

Guessed that the cat was shot. It was. Half of it fell out when I disconnected the midpipe....

Various tools later!

So I am getting the rear wing fitted up the proper way! Swedish boat repair guy is helping me out!

Also asked him to paint the headlight inserts in the same color as the car.

Also. Spotted this on my way to work!

Around 1000$ @Crazyblackman.... It was kinda worth it though.

Got to test fit the new wheels today. Sadly a spacer is needed in the front, or some grinding on the caliper bracket.

Thanks man!

Been a while since the last update meow. Been busy working, until Tuesday, when my slave cylinder blew while driving home. Rev matching and absolutely no clutch was frightening. I think I wore the synchros between 3-4-5 a bit lol. I also failed to yield at almost every intersection :kitty:

Picture of the worn slave. I actually got a new one in the mail from Fab9 just a couple of days earlier. Replaced the hard line and hose with a braided one. OH THE DIFFERENCE OMGOMGOMGOMG

image

Got the new wheels fitted with some 5mm spacers in the front. Only got 3mm spacers in the back as I bought a 2-pack of each :suicide: meow it just barely clears the caliper bracket in the front.

image

Took the car to my first track day in almost a year! The new wheels are a perfect match! The tires are perfect for my current power level. Although a bit slower than the 205/50/15 R888, I had lots more fun with these! Ignore my clock spring chirping, and my exhaust rattling lol. Sound to that exhaust whistle at 1:36 hahaha

image

A good friend of mine is learning to detail and polish cars, so I though he should do mine as a challenge. I have waxed it a handful of times in 3 years. The outcome was unbelievable! I should take better care of my car. Been doing product shopping meow. :phillyb™:

Wild what you come up with using the 3D printer. The raspberry pi install looked phantastic on IG the other day. Digital dash for a phraction of the price.

The lift kit is off again. I found out I had a few broken springs on the Maruha coilovers. Good reason to upgrade from 8k/6k to 10k/8k, right?

image

And I am almost finished with the ITB kit! Got the IAC adapter done, drilled and tapped both the manifold adapter and the vacuum block. meow I got to figure out the throttle wire and check if the adapter aligns with the top.

Finally took the time to fit the intake I have been designing. This is the first 3D printed intake for the Miata NB I have seen anywhere, so that's cool!

First a before picture

image

And then a picture of the installed part

image

The intake resembles a saxophone and a cobra. So naturally I named it the Saxcobra. The air philter is a KN round philter with a 92mm diameter opening. I designed the intake around this philter so the fitment is perfect. Part number for the philter is KN-E-0773. The two holes are printed with threads. G1/4" for the breather hose on the cam cover. And a M12x1,5 thread for the IAT sensor.
