Please help me identify this amazing find! (Recaro)

postby Highschool » 10/15/13 @ 14:42

Gents,

Friend of mine came across this 1985 Carbon Fiber side mount Recaro. I can't begin to find ANY information on it. It has one problem, it's in near mint condition. I'll be pulling out the Sparcos Juniors soon to make room for this!

It's unlikely that this will have an official model name. It's a 28 year old seat that was probably only commonly used in legit race cars.

VERY cool, though. :)

Thanks!!!

I love the fact that it's so narrow the last two owners couldn't do anything with it. Got it for a steal!

So, how does everyone like the garagestar sidemount brackets??????

I have no experience with the garagestar brackets but the PCI brackets are great.

That's a nice looking seat, for some reason I really like the square top belt holes.

Let me know if you are going to sell the Sparcos.

Jeff has dibs on the seats. Sorry for the tease.

Anyone else able to give some further info on the seat and or side mount solutions?

^ I'm considering ALL of my options.

Thanks for keeping the topic alive! I'd still love to find a little bit more info on it.

Maybe it's from a Ferrari F40? Kinda remind me of a pole position with the low side bolsters
